Agilisys buys local government digital experience specialist loGo
Integration of loGo into Agilisys platform intended to improved digital citizen experience, increase channel shift and contribute to councils' savings
Agilisys has acquired citizens' online experience software company loGo_net with the goal of incorporating the software into its suite of local government products.
The move will see loGo_net founder Ben Darlington joining Agilisys as Head of Informatics, where he will continue to develop new modules for the product.
According to Agilisys, although the loGO software will continue to be offered as a stand-alone product, it believes councils and their residents will benefit from further integration of loGo_net within Agilisys's digital platform to help deliver a better digital citizen experience.
Agilisys added that Darlington brings significant local government expertise, having held roles as CIO for Essex County Council and Head of ICT Strategy and Architecture for Kent Council.
Darlington said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be joining Agilisys, a company with the resources and expertise to really unlock the potential of loGo_net.
"This is a significant milestone and opportunity not only for loGo_net, but for the clients who were willing to take a chance and grow with this software since its early days - and who have told me how excited they are to see this next stage of growth. I'm looking forward to the next months and years backed by the strength and scale of Agilisys, developing real improvements that will make a difference to millions of citizens across the UK."
